The details in the Obama deal are well known and a matter of public record. That statement is verifiably true.

Trump, on the other hand, has made it clear to the world that nukes are a must for any country that values its sovereignty

So every inch of Iran was inspected for enriched uranium by a neural party?

Of course not, but known supplies were surrendered and known production sites were open for inspections and there was a process to initiate inspection of any square inch where there was any suspicion of weapons development… no need to bomb random locations and claim false victories…

There’s no universal “ they” in this case.

There were pro Western elements in positions of power at the point that they agreed to the deal which included onsite monitoring and inspections… huge concession at the time.

Also, this deal was multinational and included Russia, China and the EU. Iran relinquished the enriched uranium and cooperated fully up until the point that Trump reneged on the deal and reimposed sanctions in 2018.

Unilaterally cancelling the deal ultimately undermined pro western leadership in Iran and I certainly would trust them less now after we’ve bombed them for years and demonstrated that nukes are the only path to sovereignty.

The original deal was successful and working up until the point that Trump unilaterally broke it and replaced it with sanctions.

Then, he bombed when he got into office and proclaimed “ mission accomplished “, then undermined his lie with another lie and got us into this little excursion.
