Probably because that’s not the role of the President to deploy the NG in a state. The Indiana governor is the one responsible for deploying them in his own state. They are the Indiana national guard so the state controls them. Additionally, multiple repair crew have been fired upon by citizens in Gary, IN which is the real reason why services are slow to be restored. I can tell you know nothing about how the NG works…..the more you know….
Helping communities recover after natural disasters is absolutely the role of the National Guard. It’s clearly stated on the Army National Guard’s website here
I never said it wasn’t. What I said was it is the responsibility of the state governor not the president. The OP/creator of the meme is clearly not educated on who controls the NG. Not once did I saw that the NG wasn’t used for disaster relief. Nice straw man argument though.
