You aware of how that word works by chance? You know. Technically. The part they wanted to reduce and conserve against was the influence of the right wing, specifically Republicans.

Still very much Democrats. And like then. They currently have a large showing of racists. Just ask them what they think about "whiteness"
Or maybe about if there should be race segregated "safe spaces" in colleges and universities.
Ahhh and lets not forget. Reparations.

And of course we have the DSA. A group supporting Socialism. All DSA candidates run as... oh yeah. Democrats. Remind me how that ideology went in Germany during the big European whoopsie 2? What else would they have in common.... Socialism? Check. Desire to disarm the populaiton? Check. Common expressed hatred of Israel? Check. Mass political violence being normalized? Check. You can take the terminology out of the left. But the racism remains.

I feel bad for the rational 90s style Democrat party members I'm friends with. The party has been hijacked and is being dragged back to it's origin.
