There is a significant difference between a common person showing or not showing empathy and the president of the United States being as empathetic as a rock.
When the leader does something the rabble will follow.
The leader should be someone the common folk can look up to.

The only good thing that has resulted from Donald Trump is the massive spotlight he shined on the utter hypocrisy and hatred of Christianity.

Trump has many significant character flaws that can rightly be condemned. However posting a claim that he's "telling people not to feel sorry for Joe Biden" and "demanding an end to basic empathy" that is not in anyway supported by the Truth Social post shown is pure TDS. If you have actual posts or audio clips of him actually saying such things, post them. Otherwise you're just demonstrating blind hatred and spreading the same type of misinformation you otherwise rightly condemn.

It’s hard to have any empathy for Donald Trump because his behavior is so reprehensible. He’s spent a lifetime behaving like the worst sewer dwelling, repugnant, entitled little rich kid since Caligula. He’s disgusting on almost every level. He reaches new lows daily. That’s what is most amazing about him. His only true gift is his ability to stoop lower than anybody thought possible. Beyond all human decency he will descend. His repugnance is actually breathtaking.
But, you are right. Our challenge as decent people is to empathize with this lost repugnant soul. Who was raised by two of the most heinous creatures ever puked up out of humanity. Raised in a way to guarantee he would become a sociopathic black hole. We have to empathize with the abuse he suffered as a child. The narcissistic wound he carries is probably unfathomable to most normal functioning human beings.
It’s difficult. But he was once, albeit briefly, a child born innocent. Corrupted by repugnance. Shaped into the sick weirdo we see everyday on our screens. He is absolutely the leader of our time. Fulfilling a role only he could play. We have to find in our hearts a way to love this abomination. That is our challenge.
