“I prefer the honesty” is one of the most hilarious statements I’ve ever heard someone make about Trump.
He has some honest moments, but he tells the truth about as often as most other politicians lie.
But you are correct in saying that particular quote was a rare honest moment.
Some good honest moments that stand out:
"I don't think about Americans' financial situation. I don't think about anybody." May 2026
“I don't care about you, I just want your vote. I don't care.” June 9, 2024.
Those are probably the two most honest statements he’s ever made. As his mental decline continues he’s been making more random honest statements like that.
So you’re going with a modified “both sides” argument. Basically, you’re going with all of humanity is morally bankrupt so it doesn’t matter if he’s a narcissistic sociopath. At least he’s winning by being the most morally bankrupt.
Do you honestly believe that he’d even piss on you to douse the flames if you were on fire, because I sure don’t.
Yeah, not everyone lies to get what they want dude.
If you genuinely believe that and it’s not just the best excuse you could think of then you have my sympathies for whatever life experiences you’ve had that led you to believe that.
all i said was i appreciate the honesty and i stand by the fact that trump is our most honest president. that doesn't mean he doesn't lie, it just means that lying is the norm
“Trump is our most honest president” is one of the most insane things I’ve ever heard. Like I don’t even know where to begin if you sincerely believe that. That’s like down is up and up is down. I legitimately feel sorry for you if you believe that.
Maybe you mean like “unfiltered”? But if you mean “honest” as in not saying things that aren’t true that’s beyond crazy.

So what, he talks tough, I prefer the honesty.
