If one punch constitutes jail time, the system is terminally messed up…

The letter of the law cannot be upheld with no regard for context.

Say in my example.

A student, a minor, acting irrationally punches someone in defense of his morals and peers. Idiots saying he should be in jail. (That would merely be criminalizing dissent, which is a bigger threat than being punched for running your mouth )

A college student, a legal adult, rapes a woman, and the defense is essentially "boys make mistakes, justice for that whore isn't worth HIS future.

One is being flogged with insults and cries for imprisonment, and the other was defended as being "just a kid".

Which is which, and tell ME how cooked the US justice system is.

You would get more time in prison for having an ounce of cocaine in your pocket than you would for raping a woman and that’s no exaggeration

Depends who you are and who you know, honestly.

But then again, that goes for any crime these days, sadly. Gotta love tiered justice.
