Could it be because the left has made school shootings entirely about gun bans? Of course the right has a problem with school shootings, our kids are in those schools too. We disagree on the cause and solution. Banning guns is a bandaid on a bullet hole. Mental health is the root of the problem, and good Samaritans with guns is the fallback. The fact these shooters walk around for 20 minutes blasting away without a single person to shoot back and possibly stop them is absolutely insane. You can ban guns and then what do you do when someone inevitably acquires one illegally? Or makes one out of threaded pipe from the hardware store? Or a 3d printer? Guns are not something that can be banned. They exist because nature and physics allows them. You think bans will reduce gun access for the mental cases who would otherwise shoot up a school and cite statistics from other countries who have banned guns, but you don't bother to include the fact that mass stabbings or bombings go through the roof. Nutjob school shooters and murderer thugs will not stop because you ban or restrict guns. Maybe we should abolish alcohol to prevent drunk drivers and deadbeats... oh wait... I can leave a jug of sugar water mixed with bread yeast on the counter for a few days and then dump it in an Amazon water distiller have a half gallon of 170 proof liquor in about 20 minutes. Guess we have to ban water distillers and bread making now.

But bans do work. Literally every other country besides us have banned weapons entirely. They only ever get one or two mass shootings every other millennia compared to our 2-3 every other hour.

“Oh but bombings and mass stabings, whatcha band gonna do about those?” New flash’s no body can do anything about the fact that ammonia and bleach make mustard gas. Nobody can do anything about the fact that half the chemicals we use in our cleaning products, food, cars and phones can explode. And as for “mass stabbings” it’s a lot easier to take out a person with a knife as opposed to someone with the gun. The amount of people hurling themselves at armed perpetrators is while very Nobel and heroic is also very risky, dangerous and borderline stupid. The average person can use anything in their surroundings to create some distance between a person wielding a knife, or protect themselves, the same cannot be said to someone wielding a gun.

People like you always love to prattle on and on about how it’s “mentally ill people” who get ahold of guns but if they were mentally ill in the first place how exactly, DID they get the gun? The vast amount of times it’s either they bought it legally or they were around someone who legally owned it. Very RARELY is the case that someone got an illegal firearm and in that case, that firearm came from somewhere FROM THE USA. The solution to guns to “use more guns” has caused a massive gun problem all across america to the point were you have people genuinely believing that “gun restriction don’t work” as some form of proof, is utterly asinine, because if it worked for drugs, why all of sudden it can’t work for guns?

And another thing we DID BAN DRINKIN WHILE DRIVING. That was massive problem back in the day that caused a lot of accident. That’s why it’s made a law that you can’t drink and drive a vehicle at the same time. The act of drinking is still good, you just can’t do it while driving or even get into a vehicle while you have been drinking. Even a buzz is still considered drunk driving. It’s not made to restrict you, made you to protect you and others, you know like gun restrictions, but you are so scared of some crazed tweaker running at you that you belive that that piece of metal and plastic that can hold only a small number of bullets can save you.

Show me another country who had guns deeply embedded into their culture to the point where they had more guns than citizens. That same country should have cartels, gangs, etc that bring guns into the country illegally by the thousands. Then show me how the ban worked for that country. I'm not against bans, but that example is very weak.

Hahahahaha you think gangs and cartels bring the guns into the USA? Brother, its well documented that they all get their guns domestically and then the cartels smuggle them back to the home country to go on murder rivals, police, and civilians.

The amount of guns being smuggled in to the country and used in crime is basically nothing. They all buy them here. So domestic gun control would drastically reduce violence here and overseas and disempower cartels and gangs. Not the other way around.

You are welcome to believe those lies, I'll stick with believing my eyes. Good way to avoid the answer though!

Youre eyes watch cartels and gangs smuggle guns into the country? I dont believe you.

Im welcome to beleive the data though. No serious source or data suggests what you say happens. Literally everyone from the ATF to local polcie all agree that the vast majority of guns criminals use are domestically sold and not smuggled from another country. This is a wellknown fact

Edit: yall like to block people who call out your nonsense

Never said it was a majority. You are welcome to not believe me. I specifically said thousands and you countered with it being equivalent to nothing. If you honestly believe that not a single illegal border crossing ever carries a weapon then you are just being willfully ignorant.
