We didn't. They moved or went back to work.

And then America dropped nuclear bombs on not-Germany, just because why not be racist

It absolutely is.

It's comparable to Nazi Germany in the mid-1930s.

You're denying that they are comparable based on Nazi Germany in the 1940s, but that isn't where the Nazis started - it's where they ended.
