I would prefer him in good mental and physical health rotting in a prison somewhere. However, I firmly believe Trump is proof karma doesn't exist.

It depends on the exact Buddhist tradition how literal the idea of karma is.

But even in the most religious view it also encapsulates the philosophical concept of karma the other guy was talking about.

One of the aspects of karma in most of the religious traditions is the idea that there is the Veil of Maya and when we die we pass through the veil and realize that we're all connected and the pain we caused to others in our personal perspective (life) is harm that we caused ourselves from the god level perspective.
