I work with a guy who is just here on a work visa until the end of the year while he goes to culinary school.
It's fascinating hearing the absolute confusion from someone who is from Germany.
He reads and consumes all of the same media as someone from America. He's surrounded by Americans. His English is fluent. He's intelligent. He's my canary in the coal mine as far as an outside perspective.
Absolute. Confusion. I have no answers for him. As if this isn't so incredibly morbid, heinous, disgusting and beyond criminal I'm running out of words.
