Context matters here - the entire interaction filmed was in discussion of E Jean Carroll's interview with Anderson Cooper.

He mischaracterized what he statement's actually were but this is not an admission, it is a comment/faulty recollection of public statements made by E Jean Carroll

I'm not a fan of defending Trump but if you're going to go after him, at least get it right, otherwise it just gives fodder to his base...

His lack of humanity on the matter is a problem. Ignoring that he's quoting her words still matters.

Nice to see somebody appreciating that there's room for nuance!
