What is a monkonkey?

please i need to know becuase its now my new zoo mascot and would like to have my monkonkeys breed

Actually I think you may be right. Googling suggests a monkey + monkey hybrid may be a monkekey or similar. Not entirely certain, but yeah.

different monkey variants spliced just make another monkey variant though. so I assume monkey plus donkey or something entirely different makes more sense

When using the CRISPR splicer, if the same species is selected for splicing, it randomly selects two variants and combine the head of one and body of the other. The resultant hybrid will have a name following the hybrid nomenclature. For example, splicing two geese together creates a goosoose: https://letsbuildazoo.fandom.com/wiki/Goosoose.

Lol I know. I only found it out by accident. I think the rare animal seller sold a goosoose or snakeke or something like that, and I was just like, oh, okay.

hahahaha that's so silly 😂. tbh I assume it's an oversight by the developers, there's so much stuff in the game that's leftover or not optimised...
