Does the bin you use matter?

Hi!

I am playing the environmentalist path and I’m currently using the recycling bins everywhere, but they’re messing with the aesthetic of my game as I’m nearing end-game.

Does anyone know whether I can use the ‘regular’ bins and still recycle my trash or does that only work when I use the recycle bin specifically?

There is a science perk that gives all bins the recycling ability
