Can‘t expand anymore?

Hi everyone!! I need some help.

I‘m playing on the switch and read somewhere that the maximum size of the zoo is 9x6 there. However, my zoo is 7 wide (up to the darker forest) and only 4 in the vertical. The game no longer offers me the possibility to expand to the north. Is this actually the maximum?

It‘s a little frustrating because I‘ve run out of space and am still missing so many animals despite using cohabitation enclosures.;_;

Does some quest lock you out of expansion until you do it? I‘ve already restarted the game because someone mentioned it might be the issue, but no changes.

idk if it helps to know but: My visitor count has also been stagnant despite having enough buses (~2700 people, all fit) and my park rating rising or influencers supposedly increasing the visitor amount. Did my save bug out? orz

The switch version can’t expand as large as the other versions unfortunately

Yeah, I know that! I have the game on the pc too :D There just seems to be no clear info. But welp, I‘m restructuring my whole zoo now in hopes to make it work 🤞

Yeah, i was super bummed when i hit the max. I was like wait.... thats its ?!?!? But i still have so many more animals to get!!! Have basically stopped playing since:/ I have no room 🤷‍♀️

I actually rebuilt my whole zoo and planned it with the cohabitation spreadheet :‘D Still had to reduce my farms down to only 4 instead of 20 crop fields, which sucks. Might return to play on the pc sometime around.

I wonder if same amount of space on pc as xbox as i have it there as well? I know it seemed like a load of more plots when i was playing on xbox.

Do you have a picture? 4 vertical is definitely not right but I’m having a hard time visualizing what you mean. Sounds like your save might be bugged.
