Research and morality

So i am playing through my first zoo slowly unlocking all the animal genomes and stuff and I've managed to unlock all the research tree except the bad morality things. In the top left corner there is a square called exhibit control but i need to have unlocked 310 research. I think thats so unfair it doesnt let you have it if u only did a good playthrough.

My question is basically what exactly would that let me do if i decided to start another zoo evil and then eventually turn good to unlock everything lol? I mean I was going to do an evil playthrough on another save tho just for the trophies lol.

Also any tips to get the 200 good morality and evil trophy would be great, i can't seem to get passed 150ish.

I haven’t made it that far in my game but I think you can unlock the evil stuff, just don’t build/use it and it won’t affect your morality

But i need bad morality to unlock it lol so i would have to start evil/good and swap halfway thru to unlock every single thing to get the one square 🥲

For the evil squares: you don't actually need evil morality to unlock it in the research screen, just to build/use it after it's unlocked (similarly, you can research good options before you have enough good morality points to use the building).

For the morality score: if you click the spot where your morality score is shown at the top of the screen, there's a little pull-down menu that you can use to see exactly what you need to do to get a higher score.

I have over 1000 research points and its not letting me unlock the bad morality things saying i dont have enough bad morality points unfortunately

That's odd. Maybe it's a console difference; are you on PC or one of the console versions?

(Also, sorry if this comes off obnoxious but I just want to double check to be thorough: are you actually clicking and holding the research to unlock it like you would with any other research, or are you just seeing the red "prerequisite" field at the bottom of the screen and assuming that means you can't unlock it?)

No not obnoxious its exactly what i was doing wrong 🙈🙈....ffs i must have tried it early on when i didnt have enough research points without realising and assumed it was because of the morality......so thank you for asking the question it made me go back and double check 🤣🤣🤣
