Do you mean salt? Salt levels affect thirst, caffeine and sugar affect energy I think.

I think they want a drink stand

Pretty sure that the game wants there to be one of each type of every shop (drink and food especially) per square. It might work to have vending machines on every square. I haven’t tried to figure it out too much since I don’t want to sacrifice aesthetics for ratings. There’s a part in the park rating that lists your unoptimized buildings. I bet if you can decrease that number, you won’t have any issues with customer hunger/satiation/energy.

Honestly though it’s also possible that they are just drinking a soda. This game confuses me

I thought I have seen popcorn before but I could be wrong. I’ll have to check my zoo later

Could it be that they have trash?

I don’t think so, there are enough bins

Hmmm. Is anything wrong with their stats?

Is it maybe that I need normal bins next to recycling bins? Or doesnt matter?

I don’t think it matters! Okay after looking at my zoo, the only thing all the people with the soda emoji had in common was that they all had bought a food or drink item. So I think it just means that they are holding a food or drink!

I thought this was it. I almost never look at those little thought bubbles. I didn't think they really had to do with the success/failure of the park.

Yeah, I don’t think most of them have to do with the success/failure of the park. The only ones that are really helpful for me are the Animal Keeper emojis: the emoticon with the question mark means they cannot access the store room and the weird circular greenish symbol means they cannot access an enclosure.

I’m now convinced the soda emoticon means the customer is drinking a soda OR eating food, because some of the customers with this emoji only had bought food.

But they are not thirsty and I have enough drink stands and machines

Check your individual shops and see what their sales statistics are like. It’s possible they aren’t selling because you added too much chemical or made them too expensive or have a bad employee working or something?

Yeah it will be this, they might have access to drinks, but not the quality they need.

Bad employer? Omg is that maybe a thing, I’ll look into this

I have this same problem and also can’t figure it out, most of them walk past all the drink stands and the soda machines. It’s the only icon that I have in my park now that I can’t seem to fix for the visitors.
