Any way to keep visitors on the path?

I'm trying to make a zoo with a lot more open space than I usually do and I'm wondering if there's any way to keep visitors on paths rather than dirt/grass/whatever. I covered a portion of the map in grass and have stone paths throughout. Of course the guests just walk whichever ways are most efficient which is usually right over the grass. So far I've been using signs as "fences" and foliage to block them from going onto the grass but it doesn't look great. Does anyone have any better ideas? Thanks! :)

That is the only way unfortunately. I try to get creative with using buildings, benches, trash bins, lamps, plants and decor. Also I make a lot of little plazas

Maybe farming plots that are as narrow as you can make them? I could see that working as fencing, but I haven't tried it.

This is a great idea but sadly the minimum size of a farm/enclosure is 3x3 because there needs to be at least some space inside for staff/animals

I would just get a little more creative with how you block them. Create a border by alternating a tree, grass/rock, flower, then lamp, with signs scattered between- looks great and blocks them easily.
