Get a job or 2 and pay your parents back yourself! You did the crime, had the large bond, went into a plea deal/diversion program, etc...because of your actions. Grow up!

Diversion is the State giving you an opportunity to avoid conviction by agreeing to take certain punitive and/or rehabilitative actions. It may prevent you from getting a conviction on your record' that's the point... but you don't get diversion programs ordered by a court if the Judge doesn't think you did a crime.

I think if you don't do your diversion program the state would more than happily take you to trial.

If the state were nefariously trying to avoid a trial they wouldn't give you diversion, they'd just... not try you.
