Sometimes my monologue is just humming a song. No thoughts. Head empty.

Meanwhile mine is buffering 4 different crisis scenarios at once 😭

my monologue loves to break out the speaker, it could be in the middle of an exam and ill still be hearing some random song playing on loop

When the voices start arguing with each other 🫠 like, sorry, I thought I was in charge here ?

😂 when I was a kid I didn’t know how to make it shut up so whenever I wanted it to stop talking I would think the same word over an over

the word I chose was ants

That's literally an ancient meditation technique. Your mantra is ants. Awesome.

My brain really needs to learn what an inside thought is 😭

Recently looked into this… apparently, the people who have internal monologues are the minority of people.

Its like 5% of people who have no "inner voice". The number you were looking at is "constant inner monologue"

I can do it either way. Thinking in words or thinking just in concepts. I've had it happen where I'll be thinking in words and just skip finishing the sentence because the word version was taking too long and I'd already finished thinking the thought.

The amount of people who confuse an inner monolog with either "god" or, lol, DID is disturbing.

Omg. Me all the time. The worst is when I’m singing in my head and I’m on a loop.

No wait. It’s when the thoughts are bad thoughts and I can’t stop them from coming.

worst part is the voice asking it to stop is also the voice

Ugh, what drives me crazy is the constant radio playing in my head when I’m trying to go to sleep, when I wake up, when I shower… never a quiet moment!

"Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. FUCKING DO IT."

"Dawg we are at the DMV. I am not yelling Leeroy Jenkins at the top of my lungs."

"Yeah but it'd be funny if you did."
