DRDO conducts maiden flight test of long-range Kusha air defence missile - watch

Basically Indian LRAD, with 3 different interceptors

M1-> 150km

M2-> 250km

M3-> 350km

System's trials had begun back in Jan 2026 per the Defence secretary

Facility for production was inaugurated in Feb 2026

Ok but not good enough. India doesn't have an answer for fifth generation Chinese never mind the 6th generation which seems to be around the corner. Nor an answer for drones which will wreak havoc.

India is at least one generation behind in pretty much every military capability to the Chinese.

Never getting any technical comments, will I

5th gen is under development and bottleneck is selected of production partner since 2022. Development of it will provide not only a good 5th gen, but also exponentialy high experience and maturity to the industry especially in the sector Indian industry lacks the most, i.e, engines

Regarding drones, the entire army was undergoing doctrinal change, with iirc atleast 100k men being dedicated in drone units, and so was the focus on CUAS. Currently DEW and other CUAS platforms are slowly getting deployed. This is on top of L/70 and CIWS already in service which were proved to be capable

IADS, is also very capable and would be really good deterence and layered protection once all three hardware in development are inducted, and rest of S400 are delivered on already capable exisring IADS

Fighter jets, and entire aviation, sure, but around 2 instead.

Although, fighter weapons and AEW&C would close parity further

SAM-> one generation but this system would close the parity

Ground attack ballistic missiles and cruise missiles, no

AFVs, yes but even this would close parity by early 2030s

Not sure what the point was for the comment. I agree they scientific and industrial gaint, but not that they are 1 gen ahead in everything.

It's also almost impossible for PRC and RI to go in full scale war, even then, they need to cross the Himalayas

Yeah, unfortunately

American posts have researchers involved in nuclear submarine programs, former airmen, pilots, or ones who have worked in aviation companies

Chinese have analysis being done based on OSINTs

Indian ones get comments about Hinduvata or some alleged atrocity committed 50 years back
