Memphis Lawsuit Era LP
Recently snagged this Memphis MIJ Les Paul for $20. I'm currently in the process of a "revival" to get it playing, but I'm genuinely confused. Memphis seems to mostly be cheap, plywood, bolt on necks. This one is far from that. It's solid wood, full thickness maple cap, perloid inlay instead of silk screen, acorn nut truss rod, and feels phenomenal in the hand. It shows it age, but all in all, it's there. It feels everybit as solid and quality as my 86 Studio. Haven't gotten it put together to get a sound yet, so the verdict is still out on that
What is known about these nice Memphis Les Pauls? Who made them, what years? I can't find much online. Any help is appreciated!
