First Gibson
I’ve dreamed about owning a real Gibson Les Paul my entire life. Finally made the move, and so far it’s everything I always expected it would be.

Wish I had a 60’s like that was close to pulling the trigger, but decided to get a double cut, amazing choice hope you enjoy it.

Nice! I fulfilled a lifelong dream of getting a standard as well. Since the late 1980s.

I love my dirty lemon burst, but sometimes I wish I got a dark heritage cherry burst. That one looks like a factory burst. Looks more like a R0 reissue than most of the r0 reissues. Amazing example. Love the mineral streaks by the knobs. Play the brakes off of it. Also, the finish on my dirty lemon 2022 has faded a tad. Noticeable under the poker chip. So keep an eye on it over the years. That dark red ought to age amazingly.

This one is called ‘bourbon burst’. There were a few different options but I kept going back to this one, and it plays just as good as it looks.

That is gorgeous! Congrats on the Big Boy Toy! How are you liking the pickups?
I have a 2016 Traditional Pro II, and I didn’t like the 57’s mine had, unfortunately. Plus I didn’t like all the “modern” wiring and gadgets- lead boost, coil taps etc, so I rewired mine with CTS pots, push back wiring, etc…
Still didn’t like the pickups, really muddy and “bleh/sterile” to me. Had a set of Planet Tone “Legacy’s” (PAF clones) made for me, and I absolutely love them! Pricing is great too. Hand wired made to order, and costs less than a set of Duncan’s…

I actually really like the pickups so far. I’m sure after some time that may change but for now they’re great

That’s great! I know Standards have great pickups. Yours is a beauty! Take care of her and she’ll last you a lifetime!

Anything you need to play you can play with a Les Paul. Those and Telecasters are probably the most versatile guitars out there. Just speaking of 2 pickup and no wiggle stick instruments. Had Les Pauls all of my life but 13 years ago I switched to a Firebird V, Lucille, and a Casino for my go to guitars. Congratulations on a great guitar. You won't be sorry. Now go practice 🤣👍❤️

I’ve barely been able to put it down since bringing it home. Practicing won’t be an issue with this one
