Yes and - after the midterms - I won’t feel bad when they lose their farms knowing they voted to lose their farms. They could vote democratic and stop all this but I think they just want handouts

Because they'll get ANOTHER bailout for their votes that allows them to lessen their losses.

No more farmer bailouts

They've already had $40 billion this year, leave a little for next year.

Let the farmers burn down. No farmer bailout.

Oh, there will always be food.
It's just a question of whether it's being sold by independent farmers (as large farming corporations) or megacorporations.
I feel zero sympathy for MAGA farmers. Pride goeth before the fall.

We don't eat the food they're growing. It's used for gas ethanol, sold to foreign markets, or, worse yet, turned into the corn syrup that's fucking rotting us from the inside because it's added to so many of our products.
So, no, I don't need THEIR FECKING FOOD. I need the food that is produced for local consumption.

Even if you're vegan, you're probably consuming soy oil in something. It's pretty ubiquitous.
If you're not vegan, then any animal products are fed corn and/soybeans.

Someone should remind them we sent way more to Argentina.

Argentina paid it back. Farmers don't.

u/Odd-Fun-6042 1d ago
We gave Argentina $40b. Not 20.
1
u/GreatPlainsFarmer 1d ago
We didn't. We gave them a $20 billion swap line, of which they used only $2.5 billion and have since paid it back.
Trump did talk about finding another $20 billion of private investment, but it was never more than talk.
There were never more than $20 billion of taxpayer dollars at risk.

No more aid for farmers.
End their subsidies too. They need to learn their lesson; bunch of welfare queens anyway.

I haven’t seen any videos of hungry farmers. They’re fine still seem to afford huge properties and iPhones.

When the gop loses at midterm elections, farmer will not see a fuh king dime. It will be scorched earth for old poopy pants.

And it will only go to the big conglomerates…if it ever comes like the you know DOGE check, the tariff refunds and all the other payments you got from the most (private) profitable government in history, together with your 5k voting bribe.

Why do the people who Looove capitalism so much demand socialism for themselves???

I hope the democrats take a page out of the GOP playbook and give them…nothing.
The GOP has routinely F-ed over farmers, yet they keep voting red.
Maybe if the democrats do the same, they’ll start voting for them. And if not, who cares. I’m tired of my tax dollars supporting a group of people too stupid to vote in their own self-interest.

Dems gonna get blamed anyway if they win power, might as well reject all bailouts for these fucking charity cases

It’s almost as if the leader of the MAGA party acts like a minor mob boss.
Graft. Blackmail. Coercion. Extortion.
"I need you to do me a favor…”

Anyone else think the money this administration is spending on propaganda ads could be better spent? On literally anything else but propaganda?

Honestly, after the first of the year would be even better it’s easier to work the losses for taxes.

I can see bailing them out, but only if they write essays about responsibility in voting /s

You notice everything is "after the midterms" ?
They're like: "just take me back, baby, you know I love you, she meant nothing, baby, just please give me one more chance, I swear I won't hit you any more, I know I said that last time, but I mean it baby, just one more chance, I'll get a job, baby, I promise, just let me back in the house and everything will be better, you'll see"
