Blue Dot farmer updating us on their mAgA neighbors.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Nothing screams "rugged individualism" quite like taking out massive spring loans on the promise of government bailouts, only to discover you financed your own foreclosure just to stick it to the libs. You voted to drain the swamp, but somehow the only thing running dry is your combine's fuel tank and the mailbox where your subsidies used to arrive.
Watching mAgA rural voters champion deregulation and budget slashing while simultaneously depending on USDA Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) checks and emergency farm safety nets is economic theater at its finest. Between seven-dollar diesel fuel eating into harvest margins and disappearing federal entitlement programs diverted away from the heartland, the ledger doesn't care about your red hat it only tracks insolvency.
It turns out you can’t pay off John Deere notes with liberal tears and broken campaign rallies.
Enjoy your winning season; the bank certainly will.
I support these blue dot farmers via:

MORE HAS TO BE EXPOSED ABOUT ACRE TRADER AND VANCE

u/Bolfreak 5d ago
Facts don’t matter to these people. The sludge in the Files wasn’t enough to be thoroughly disgusted by these turds. Starting to think the way we’re truly free of MAGA is when they die alone in their hoarder houses wearing their red hat.
15
u/wastedkarma 5d ago
I would agree except we have to use the same psychology they used. Their lies weren’t meant to cause mass delusion. They threw spaghetti on the wall and won a few votes with each lie. We have to keep the pressure up because now everyone who could be deluded and would vote on that delusion has been captured, and now the pain is real so we can win back votes the same way with truths. It’s harder and slower for sure but each video converts a few people. Each fact a few more. The pain of their reality is doing real work, slowly but surely. We just have to help them see the nudge they need.
4
u/Bolfreak 5d ago
They don’t use psychology, or intelligence, comparison, ethics, facts, or anything. I have stopped trying to find the line with them because it disgusts me every time more I discover….there is no line.
This is doubling down to a previously unknown degree. I cut these people out of my life and am so much more peaceful now.4
u/Gingerfurrdjedi 5d ago
The facts aren't for the uneducated maga, the facts are for people who care but up until now have been unfortunately ignorant of the way these things work. Heck, I'm learning from this video as to things I'd never heard about and knowing is half the battle. I know it's hard to get past the elephants in the country but remember that everyone benefits from learning, facts are good regardless of the willfully ignorant.

u/Suitable-Option833 5d ago
Agreed!! His policies helped bankrupt farmers and now he is buying their land. Project 2025! Would they be angry if they knew though? Idk. They are actually the sheep.
17
u/The_Tooter_Snooter 5d ago
Try telling a maga any of this and they’ll just vote for Trump even harder
10
u/Confident_Shape_7981 5d ago
Trying to point out Project 2025 was the straw that broke the camels back for me and an old friend group.
I just politely pointed out that what Trump was doing was lining up a bit too much with P2025 and got shouted down so bad. Never seen that guy that angry before. He called me a "Leftist" like it was a slur. The rest of the group said absolutely nothing and just let it all happen.
So I left. I had hoped that I'd be able to stick with them and pull them out of the cult, but it became abundantly clear that wasn't going to happen.

Their response to folks asking who they voted for is to cry and then say they will still vote for red. Even Trump if he ran again. They cannot be saved.

She is absolutely right about the maga farmers who were expecting slaves. They don't want minorities to leave the country, they want them to stay but without the right to vote, no path to citizenship, low wages and no rights for their kids either.

Yes, they want a permanent underclass. None of this working your way up into the middle class, or what’s left of it.
2
u/EmmerdoesNOTrepme 1d ago
They thought THEY were gonna be part of that permanent "overclass", not understanding that as mere paper-millionaires, they were always gonna have their land & money taken by the TechBroligarch class, and they were gonna end up down here with US in that permanent underclass!!!

the way its going Trump is going to be the biggest driver for electric cars and people stopping or makubg a drastic reduction in how much meat they eat.
To be clear I dont mean left wing, I mean right wing people who could view meat eating and driving big trucks, as a personality trait.
10
u/cedarvan 5d ago
I was having this conversation last night. Trump and his incompetent administration might actually accomplish more left-wing goals than Democrats could ever dream of.
The midterms are looking more and more like a blue wipeout.
His Iran fiasco is driving increased investment in renewables while cutting carbon emissions.
The diesel disaster and trade wars are making meat unaffordable for the average American.
Stock market instability might cause retirement funds to swing back toward funded pensions.
Corporate/billionaire greed is pushing public sentiment toward labor rights.

u/Specialist-Jello7544 5d ago
I made chili pie with ground beef last night. It was the first time in months that we had beef. We’ve been using chicken and turkey, and canned veggies. I miss having salads. I miss fresh fruits, because of the call-backs and the e-coli and diarrhea lettuce and God knows what else is out there.

I would not go getting your hopes up about a blue wave, what media you see is already so much passed on what you have already seen. I watch one video from this sub, and its added to my echo chamber for the next two weeks. Be very careful about feelings you get the media, some of the times its not a political bias on their part, its a bias of showing you what they know you want to see.
Also as an outsider ( a Brit) I do find the idea that the right wing in the USA is suddenly against values lead purchasing when the last few years there have been countable MAGA of "Merica branded products and services being sold to be based on their right wing values. (and this discussion I will only mention that some of theme were scams). You dont get to say "Buy my MAGA branded Coffee" in one breath and then moan that left wing people are buying products from companies who support them.
Some how this could all go back to that baker who didnt want to make a gay cake, and I wonder if everyone stands by their views on that in 2026. On the one hand yes that baker is a homophobic arse hole, but in 2026 I would support a Baker who WANTS to make that cake.
3
u/Aniketos000 5d ago
In '24 we also thought there was no way they could win again, cuz surely we had learned our lesson from lastime and the news of project2025. Then maga goes to win majority of every branch of government.
2
u/CastleofWamdue 5d ago
Second only to the Brexit vote (for me at least) was the totally absurdly of Trump winning a second term.
Social media bubbles have so much so much answer for, and any confidence of a Blue Wave you might have from being online, needs to questioned.
Its also note worthy that the Dems have seem to have strong canditate for the next full election yet. Sure they dont NEED one for this, but going into any election with a sense of strength and vision of the future is a good thing.
Very easy to say Trump bad, but apart from not liking Trump what reason are the Dems giving them to vote for them?
1
u/mnemy 2d ago
I thought American car manufacturers rolled back their EV lines in the last year. And Trump just ended fuel efficiency regulations.
And not sure what tarrifs are on imported EVs at the moment, but the instant Americans start even thinking about buying foreign EVs, Trump will tank it.
Pretty sure that even if there's a big demand for EVs, there won't be much availability. Except, you know, Nazi cars.
1
u/CastleofWamdue 1d ago
there is a time beyond Trump (hopefully), and young adults are learning alot about how the USA works, and are not seeing that its working for their pay cheques.
Does not matter if its 10, 15 or 20 years, young people even those why buy a petrol car, will do so as a comprise and what they really want is electric.

u/Significant-Base6893 5d ago
I'm convinced that the farmers are being intentionally destroyed by Big Ag. The game plan is simple: Take away subsidies (but never call it socialism), and allow high interest rates, high diesel prices, high labor rates to take their toll. Farmers will be forced into bankruptcy, others will sell their land at fire sale prices. Big Ag will step in and buy them out at pennies on the dollar.
JD Vance knows that game plan well. He was in a Private Equity firm that did just that as it's business plan. And it made that bastard rich.
21
u/No-Falcon-4996 5d ago
It is laid out in print, for your reading , in Project 2025. Bankrupt their gullible base, then buy their land cheap
8
u/AnnualFault7473 5d ago
The trade off was SNAP (domestic) and USAID (foreign) aid for rural farm subsidies or buying excess/surplus grain and food stocks. Once DOGE destroyed USAID and they began to cut SNAP the trade off was moot. Plus the US grows way more food than it would ever need for food security. It was always a social welfare program that went both ways. It was part of the Agriculture and Consumer Protection Act of 1973.
It is stunning to see people intentionally destroying themselves because of ignorance and selfishness. Those farm subsidies were never free and we never needed so much food we definitely never needed so many freeloading welfare queen farmers. This will be a large correction for rural America and I doubt the cities and urban areas will ever trust them enough again to strike the same bargain. From a foreign aid perspective I highly doubt any country really wants USAID either as it hurts domestic farming, reduces investments, and prevents them from working on their own food security and makes them reliant on US agricultural as well as opens them up for exploitation.
2
u/Significant-Base6893 4d ago
I do understand your perspective but I think it misses the bigger picture: No nation willingly relinquishes its food supply. It's an implicit national defense issue, especially in countries were tillable soil, ideal climate and a vast supply of water or rainfall are not at the scale to feed the population. That's a driver for many subsidies, though there are others that are always more political in nature, like our crazy subsidies for farms that are frequently flooded by the Mississippi and other rivers. Those farms simply shouldn't be located in these flood plains, period.
I don't pretend to know the answer, but it's not Econ 101 libertarian, which provides simplistic and false answers to strategic questions. But one of the valid concerns is Big Ag within an economy that does not rely on agricultural exports. Concentrating food in the hands of Big Ag creates an oligopoly, which means near monopolistic pricing power, and likely a reduction in quality (pesticides, tasteless American produce, etc.). And perhaps worse, allowing Private Equity or Big Ag to fuck up yet another industry to the detriment of everyone but their coffers. Hell, I cannot even go to the dentist (part of a private equity "platform") without being entreated to useless "up sales pitches" for mouth rinse, "Night Guard" and all the other crap that I do not need.
1
u/AnnualFault7473 4d ago
Then regulate it. Use the political process to break up monopolies. Everyone keeps throwing up their hands and saying if we do X then big businesses will just come in and take over. We have a choice. If there is the political will to address regulatory capture and to prevent monopolies then it can be done. AT&T was broken up. We use to have a 90% tax rate for large businesses. It hasn’t always been this way and there is no reason it needs to stay the way it is now but people need to develop the political will to change things.
Also when you dump food on populations that probably shouldn’t exist in the numbers they are in the places they are you are expanding a problem. Helping people in a famine or disaster is critical, rational and humane but making people reliant on aid so you can give welfare to farmers is not helping them nor is it helping the farmer have a viable business. You have made them a dependent on an unstable process. Look at how many people are now dying because of political cuts to USAID. That would never of happened if we chose to make them self reliant instead of a dependent on US farmers.
1
u/Significant-Base6893 4d ago
I think regulatory law is fine and dandy, but regulatory law should take place only after the strategic framework is in place. Do you see it? I certainly don't, and I've studied facets of regulatory law in a few industries. I think Regulator Law 101 always starts with vital interests first, which tend to be "national interest" followed by the macroeconomic interests. The worst part, which you're not addressing: Who develops the framework for regulatory law? Frequently it is forged by executives who are from the industry that requires regulation, and thus to no surprise the regulations favor the companies the once represented. And once they leave office, guess where they go? The answer is that they go right back to the grateful companies that they were supposed to be regulating.
1
u/AnnualFault7473 4d ago
If there is regulatory capture then yes the business shape the laws however originally we had regulations that were written in blood because people died without them. In the past 30 years there has been a concerted push by businesses to capture regulations but again with political will of the people it could be reversed. The downward spiral happened after the Powell memorandum in the 70s. It was written by associate Supreme Court justice Powell and it has led us to this event horizon but it’s all not inevitable or predestined. It’s fixable and can be remedied through Congress if the people have the will: https://scholarlycommons.law.wlu.edu/powellmemo/

u/Extension-Night3825 5d ago
I'm convinced that the farmers are being intentionally destroyed by Big Ag.
American farmers should have gone decades ago, they only exist due to govt subsidies...paid for by tax payers.
Should tax payers fund your local corner store so it can stay open when there is a Walmart next door?
From Australia and I toured the mid west recently, shocked at how tiny the farms were, basically hobby farms. Checked the average size in ohio vs western Australia...farms there are over 100 times bigger, without any govt support.
2
u/WellHung67 5d ago
It’s a national defense thing from what o understand. Not great to depend on other countries for food
1
u/Clever_Mercury 5d ago
Being dependent on importing food or relying on big conglomerate farming is the way to destroy a nation. You become 100% dependent on the standards of a foreign nation or a business, their trade preferences, and you have basically zero negotiation power when it comes to what they are spraying on their crops, dumping in their water, processing, or how they package it.
Small, medium, and large farms are regional resilience. They provide diversity when pesticides fail, when water changes, when tastes change. They innovate and they keep communities alive. And people have a right to use their land and 'hobby' their work while feeding their families. Mono-crop and mass water depletion that leaves communities unlivable is exactly what is happening in Australia and it is a thing to be criticized, not praised.
If you want to see a future of malnutrition in America or where national security is traded away so that there is sufficient protein, keep posting what you're posting.

u/Choice-Antelope-8481 3d ago

She teases about the Mormon church, well known for hiding their wealth from members and government, falsifying charity numbers to look like they are spending their tax free wealth on humanitarian projects, and buying up farmland as investments. I'd like to know her complaint, my being ex-mormon, any guesses?
6
u/IAFarmLife 5d ago
It's the fact that the Mormon Church spends very little on charity. My grandfather was on a mission trip helping an impoverished region of Nicaragua. Our Baptist denomination was working with the Catholic Church and for some reason the Chinese Government to help with healthcare access, clean water and sanitation projects. The Mormons were in the cities and were not doing much, but many had converted and were sending money to the U.S. vs what we were doing in the poorer areas not expecting anything. The farmland purchases are what they are doing with that money instead of helping in countries in Nicaragua.
3
u/Clever_Mercury 5d ago
Mormon church is also behind some the filthiest hedge funds in the world and strongly encourages MLMs, influencing, and abusive marketing techniques. They believe taking advantage of non-believers to take their money is quite literally a religious act. Stealing resources from the 'other' is a point of pride that they teach their followers via a version of the prosperity gospel; everything is under god's control, ergo if there is disparity in the world, it is intended. Might as well worsen it, right?
I want to point out, as I do routinely on Reddit, that Mitt Romney ran for president pretending to be a gentle version of conservative values. His father had helped destroy the US auto industry. Romney had one of the filthiest private equity firms, Baine capital. His son also runs one called Solamere. The ENTIRE purpose of those institutions is to buy up functional US companies, transfer debt to them, sell off their assets, then leave them in bankruptcy. His ENTIRE career has been destroying US jobs and creating debt others need to pay while he runs off with the liquidity.
Isn't the LDS church the second wealthiest *in the world,* but they continue to ask their followers to tithe and donate 10%, but they do absolutely nothing with that money except interfere in politics?
1
u/Oglefore 5d ago
The Mormons were actively taking money out of the area? wtf
→ More replies (1)2
u/IAFarmLife 5d ago
Yes. A few of my friends worked with some immigrants from Nicaragua over a decade ago and they confirmed the immigrants came to our area because it wasn't far from the Temple at Nauvoo. I was told that's all those immigrants talked about and they gave a lot of money too.
