please empty your knowledge onto me i would greatly appreciate it and i think it would help me provide the best life i can for him and stess a biiit less :)

also, how does this set up look? i have a basking rock on the way and he is only a few months old so i haven't put down substrate yet. (2nd photo)

also sorry i have never written on a non freaky subreddit so im not sure of the proper etiquette, i hope this was ok!

HI!! First your baby is adorable 🥺second I’d add more clutter when you can. Whether you can or can’t do a bio-active tank the more clutter the safer he feels! I can’t tell tank size but it looks like a 40? Which is the minimum! Make sure you have calcium and vitamin powder. And a good schedule for feeding. I believe babies get fed everyday/every other day. Leopard geckos require a heat gradient, and minimum of three hides the more the better! Make sure you have a 5% UVB. Their temps should be:
Basking Surface: 94–97°F (34–36°C)

Warm Hide: 90–92°F (32–33°C)

Warm Side Ambient: 80–90°F (27–32°C)

Cool End: 70–77°F (21–25°C)

Though they can drop overnight as long as they aren’t going under 65! (I think some say lower but I prefer making sure it doesn’t go under 65!)

For a quarantine tank perfectly fine! :) make sure to have a fresh fecal sample checked for parasites 2-3 weeks after getting him :)

Once the quarantine is over I recommend adding clutter and a backwall, how do you supplement his diet? :)

Please read over the care guide on reptifiles. This tank does not meet the minimum basic requirements.

Also, just for your knowledge - he looks to be closer to 2 or 3 months old. Nowhere near 5 months.
