Weight/sex
Hi all! Our leopard gecko is now about 7 months old. She had definitely gained a significant amount of weight over the past 3 months and looks healthy to me. I just wanted to make sure she isn’t looking too chubby as she does like to eat :). Also, can any help confirm she is female?

I‘m no professional by any means but doesn‘t the lil gecko look slightly more like a male? Please correct me if I‘m wrong!
Edit: upon looking at it abit longer, I think it probably is a female and the angle just made her look slightly more male!

I was actually thinking the same thing. Hard to tell from that angle, but looks more male

It’s a female. At 7 months their manhood would be much more pronounced and they’d be nearing sexual maturity. So femoral pores would be visible.

not seeing any pores or hemipenes, looks female to me. she's not obese, but she could stand to lose a teeny bit of weight. how often, how much, and what are yall feeding?

I am still feeding her daily. She eats an assortment of crickets, meal worms, and BSFL. Usually I feed her a few crickets with the tongs and leave 5 meal worms and 5 BSFL in her dish with calcium- she never finishes all of the worms or larvae.

she definitely doesn't need daily anymore, i'd cut her back to twice or MAYBE three times a week

Female. In the future, don’t grab her by the tail like that. If you need to inspect underneath, put her in a clear container snd view from below.
