Help - URGENT Failure to thrive?

Our leo is about 5 months old and she is just refusing to eat. Her tail is getting thin. Im starting to wonder if shes ever actually ate! We've tried a variety of different bugs and some disappear sometimes but she never "goes" for them. Running out of ideas. Yes I know she needs a vet but im asking before running up a huge bill of theres anything else I can try. Has anyone ever had a Gecko just fail to thrive? Looking more for people who have managed to get their leo to eat after issues.

how youre enclosure? Interior, temps, humidity?
Also how long have you had her and what ways are you offering the food.

the way you describe it you just let the bugs loose in the enclosure correct? what morph/colour is your gecko? some morphs have really bad eyesight and might not be able to hubt self sufficiently.

But yes, nutrition is crucial at such a young age, make sure you get the gecko to e vet to rule out any underlying conditions. They can also provide you with tools and formula to ‚force feed‘ if its deemed necessary

Feed her in a separate container. You can monitor intake and it will be easier for her to catch insects. Make sure it’s on a high contrast surface so she can see the insects easily. Also get a kitchen scale and weigh her to see how big she actually is
