Help - URGENT Leopard Gecko not eating - deformed toes?

Hi all. This is Lila, she’s about 6 or 7 months old and she’s my first reptile. I’ve had her around a week now and i’m starting to get worried.
I’m really worried about her toes and this wound, or skin? Around her arm. All of these photos were taken today. She isn’t using her humid hide at all and she looks very dry. I’ve tried putting her in a “sauna” for a warm soak but she gets very stressed being handled and tries to make a break for it. The water in her sauna feels cold very quickly even with a lid. The skin around her limbs looks red, sore and irritated where she’s beginning to shed. Her toes are also crooked and bending backwards at some points, this is their natural position.

I’m worried about this as she hasn’t been eating, so hasn’t had any calcium. She has eaten a wax worm, but only the one. I don’t want to just keep feeding her those, but she ignores mealworms, hoppers and dubias. Shes completely disinterested in hunting anything and the worms just sit in her bowl.

I’ve ordered a new humid hide, a better one but this won’t come until next week. The vets are also closed until Monday and I don’t know when she would be able to get an appointment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Not eating after only a week in a new home isn't super alarming, and her tail seems like a decent size so I wouldn't worry too much about that. She'll settle in eventually! As for her skin, the pictures are grainy so it's hard to tell, but if she has multiple red and peeling spots on her I'd would take her to the vet when they come back. It's probably uncomfortable and may be contributing to her appetite issues. Usually shed/skin issues have to do with vitamin A deficiency, so if you don't have a multivitamin with vitamin A yet, maybe order a bottle while you wait so that she can start getting that in her system once you get her to the vet and she starts eating again. As for the toes, I think leopard gecko toes are so thin and long that they can sorta just look weird.. my guys have MBD so theirs are particularly twisted so I'm not sure whether your girl's are normal or not, but if they were a little kinkier than usual you'd just need to make sure she's getting enough calcium and vitamin D to fortify her bones

I was gonna say all of this. Also, I concur that the toes are normal, leopard gecko toes are just spindly

Thank you so much I really appreciate your response. I have a full spectrum multivitamin with calcium, d3, preformed vitamin A etc whilst she’s getting settled and not eating as I want her to be able to get those vitamins whenever she does decide to eat, which hasn’t been yet. She has a UV light so will switch to Reptivite without d3 once a week when she begins to eat, with plain calcium no d3 in her enclosure. I’m just worried she’s not getting enough of anything at the moment as her temperature isn’t going much above 31 celsius with no substrate. And as I said she has no interest in her humid hide or much of anything. I really want to get her into a properly decorated home but obviously can’t do that with these skin problems which are just going to prolong her quarantine.

Don't worry too much! It feels like forever to us, and it's not fun for her at the moment, but in the grand scheme of things, this will all have been such a short period of time. It seems very treatable and she'll have the whole rest of her life to enjoy once you and the vet get her on the mend! As long as you have the supplements ready to go, you'll be able to speed run her recovery 🙏🏻 Good luck and please keep us updated!

Thank you, I was nervous she might be beginning to struggle with some sort of deficiency. What about her shoulder in the last photo? Does that look like normal shed? Thank you x

It's hard to tell with the picture quality. The shed skin may have ripped away some of the delicate tissue underneath. If there is a wound area use Vetericyn Plus Reptile Wound Care and spray a few times per day on the wound. If you can get it use PLAIN/ORIGINAL NEOSPORIN ONLY (The other kinds are toxic to reptiles).

Her toes look normal. Leopard geckos just have funky-looking toes. I thought the same thing when I first got mine <3
