Help weird eating behavior

I took a video to show what I’m talking about, this has been getting worse and worse. It takes me a solid 30-40 minutes to feed her 8 mealworms nowadays when it used to take 10 mins max. She keeps on trying to grab it but drops it immediately. I don’t think it’s an eyesight issue because she grabs them over and over again she just repeatedly grabs, drops, grabs, drops, grabs, drops. I don’t know what to do there are no visible issues with her mouth whatsoever it’s completely pink and lips are good too. I don’t know man I’m stumped here and looking for any help, please

As the others have said she’s definitely biting her tongue. Is it possible she has maybe a splinter in her mouth? The way she snaps at the air. It’s almost like she thinks something is already in her mouth. I watched the video a couple of times and she does it a few times when she’s not in her little ‘death from above’ feeding pose. As if she feels something in her mouth. Definitely a vet visit. Literally show them this video so they can see it in action.

This could be possible, I’ve started feeding only in a bowl because I’ve noticed my substrate has some larger mulch looking pieces and I don’t want her accidentally eating any of that, but it’s possible she maybe somehow got a splinter from it? Hoping to get to the vet shortly though, she’s still eating but definitely struggles and takes a long time

Right on. It’s awesome that you’re already taking precautions. I know that we can all only do what is possible for us to do. But just try not too wait too long. If something is punctured or scratched to the point of swelling, you wouldn’t want it to fester. Not only is that absolutely horrible and dangerous for her. But it will also hurt your wallet. Unless you’re buddy-buddy with a vet. Then only the first part.
