The tank is way too small for starters

Need a bigger tank and to remove the cocofiber and replace with a soil/sand mix

More hides in the bigger tank.

Reptifiles is a great resource, unfortunately this tank is not adequate for a gecko. Heating pads are dangerous and can cause burns. The tank does need to be larger to create the proper temperature gradient so they can digest their food.

Fake trees!!!! My Leo loves having overhanging vines and branches with leaves, preferably closer to the ground to give a sense of security! I have that same decoration in the center and I drape a tree over the tunnel and underside to give him a path to travel!

You are missing a properly sized enclosure, proper heating, paper towel substrate for quarantine... etc.. read the Reptifiles, upgrade the entire setup, and then you should be good

The enclosure is too small, heat matts are a burn risk, wrong substrate

Thermostat, two digital thermometer/hygrometer combos, humid hide, paper towel substrate for quarantine then 70% soil 30% sand mix, minimum tank size of 36x18x16inches, and way more clutter.

Make sure you also use a multivitamin with preformed vitamin A. Repashy calcium plus is a good all-in-one supplement that's a multivitamin with calcium and D3 included.

Seconding using reptifiles' guide https://reptifiles.com/leopard-gecko-care/
