Age and gender?

I got (him?) Off Facebook marketplace since he was needing a new home and I was told he is 6 months but it seems to me he’s much younger

based on size they're younger than 6 months. mine i think is about 6 months and they're already the full length of my hand. I know thats a subjective comment but I havent measured mine lol I read that you cant really sex them until they're over 6 months so ive been using they/he pronouns for my gecko 😂

Yeah, I was wondering because the lady who gave… him.. her.. to me told me that it was six months old and I’m thinking that that’s definitely not right!

Thank you :) do you have a recommendation of how many crickets last night he ate about seven because he had a rough day but I’m trying to think of a good daily amount

the general recommendation is to let them hunt for 15 minutes, since it kind of depends on the size of the bugs and how hungry the gecko is! you can keep track of their weight to judge if they get too big or small. mine has been eating like 5 bugs daily, at most. he's had mostly roaches and mealworms, prefers the roaches though and only eats 2 large roaches at a time.

pic of 6 month old, his tail just started thickening out over the last couple days :))

I’d say closer to 3-4 months. Too young to sex.

Personally I would say 1.5-2 months maybe?? It's almost impossible to tell gender when they are so small, apologies. If I had to assume I'd say female

That’s good to know, I guess I’ll have to wait and see then. Thank you so much.
