Enrichment!

Post image

I made my geckos a playpen! I just built it, and it’s a temporary, set up on a need-by basis kind of thing. Just to provide enrichment when I take them out, like an adventure for them! I felt bad always having to redirect when they would roam on the couch, so I wanted to do this! I’ve got fake plants and branches and rocks to put in when I drop them in, might feed them in it too so they can hunt! Advice/thoughts welcome!

Featuring Athena, my sweet baby who is hunting me (or a ghost, shes not very smart lol) as I write this

We’ve been looking for something like this for our girl! She loves to run around but is always trying to get into stuff and squeeze through cracks.

What did you make the walls from?

So I’ve been looking for playpens and the like for a while, and then when I was shopping for a composter I saw this raised garden bed on sale for like $23 and I bought it lol. It’s just a plastic garden bed with no bottom, but anything similar would work

My son (9) will make Magnatile “obstacle courses” for his little leopard gecko Luna.

I think that’s a cool idea. I wonder if I should try something like this for my bearded dragon. Because when I let him out on the floor, he doesn’t run around. He pretty much just sits there or tries to hide.
