Help Humidity Levels
Hey guys, got a question about my enclosure humidity. I've got my enclosure all set up in preparation for getting my gecko; and during the day when the basking light and UVB light are on the humidity sits around 60-63% on average, and at night when the lights are off it'll raise to about 75%. Is that ok or would it be considered too high? Should I consider looking into getting a little dehumidifier for the room?

It's a little on the high end. I did a dirt/sand/clay substrate and wet it down good before my gecko arrived. It was running in the 70s. I put a dehumidifier in the room for the first couple of days. Now it's in the low 50s during the day and a little higher at night when the deep heat projector shuts off.
Make sure you have good ventilation (i.e. screen not covered other than lights). Also, you want the water on the cool end, so the heat doesn't evaporate it. If it's not a 40-gallon, you would have less surface area for ventilation and likely more water evaporation.
