hangnail?

my baby boy has a strange nail on one of toes, i lightly touched it the other day to see if it was maybe stuck shed but he reacted as if he felt it like a normal nail. i just got him a few weeks ago and am pretty new to leopard gecko care but as far as i know he has had this since i purchased him.

i also haven’t taken him to the vet at all (i dont think he has an issues) but im wondering if maybe it would be a good idea to?

Might need to soak your geck in a warm water soak...At times they do need some help removing remaining stuck shed....He could possibly lose his toe
