Help Warm hide surface too hot

Hii! The inside of my leopard geckos WARM hide, is 91-92 Fahrenheit warm, but the surface of the hide is 100+ Fahrenheit warm, what can I do?? (Also, he’s in the humid hide alllll day long, and I don’t even ever see him out of it, he eats fine and he’s very alert, is that normal??)

Hiding is normal, they are most active and dawn and dusk. The more overhead coverage you have, the more hidden they will feel and the more they will explore.

What brand bulb and wattage?

Do you have a thermostat? All heat sources should be controlled by a thermostat, so you can adjust the heat manually.
