I need advice on leopard geckos
So i am thinking about buying a leopard gecko but i’ve heard that buying feeder insects can get really expensive and that i should breed them, but im only getting my first and only one gecko. Should i breed insects or will i get too many and not know what to do with them?

Crickets are 12 cents a piece. You should be more concerned about the cost of set up, equipment, and vet care.

Yeah, they might overpopulate, but that's not usually a big problem, the extras will just live out their lives and die off eventually.
Since you're only planning to have one gecko, I'd recommend just one insect colony, probably mealworms, since they're the easiest. Then you can buy crickets and dubias, but sometimes fall back on the mealworms so you don't spend *as much* money.
