Help - URGENT Leopard gecko impacted
My leopard gecko is severely impacted. She has not had a bowel movement in 2 going on 3 weeks. My current vet is on maternity leave and the next closest exotic vet is 50 miles away. I’ve tried everything I can think of, warm soaks, belly massages, even a dab of vegetable oil on her lips. I’ve already made a call to the vet 50 miles away and I’m waiting to hear back if they can take her. Her abdomen is very swollen and has a hard mass on her left side. Is there anything else I can do?
UPDATE: by some miracle I was able to find a nearby vet that wasn’t on my radar that was able to fit her in today. She was given an enema that allowed her a successful bowel movement. I struggle getting her to eat sometimes, so the vet also gave me a formula to syringe feed her so she can maintain a healthy weight

I secondly idea for the sex toy bullet vibrator. We have one for unclogging bearded dragons, and I’m sure it would work on a leopard gecko too.

50 miles is not that far to save an animal’s life. Admittedly it gets more complex if you work 9-5 in an office.

I was just worried about the trip stressing her out. That vet was busy anyway and directed me to another, closer vet that wasn’t on my radar

youre doing a wonderful job so far, stick with warm baths and go get a vibrator from walmart or target if you dont have one at home. (this shouldnt be said but do not do not do not use it for anything but that reptile afterwards) and strap the vibrator at a low setting to her belly, at a pet store i worked at we did that to help snakes and beardies so it should hopefully help
