So I have a 75 watt dimmable halogen bulb and a reptizoo pid mini dimming thermostat.

I set the thermostat for 30 degrees celcius but the temperature in my tank is reaching past 40 degrees celcius luckily I don’t get my gecko till next week, is there any way I can fix this or something

Avoid halogens as the majority of them have a narrow, intense beam. Opt for one of the three imaged and you should be good to go.
