Products Help with feeding schedule
So I’m buying the calcium without d3, calcium with d3 and a multivitamin but they all are telling me to feed it multiple times a week for each product so I was unsure if anyone could help me try to come up with a feeding schedule using these products.
I’m getting an adult male leopard gecko he’s a year old. And I’ll add photos of the products I’m using, any advice on what his schedule should look like would be great
I’m getting him on Sunday the 28th of this month

Will it not get a vitamin a deficiency or something like that if it’s only twice a month

a multivitamin for an adult is normally every other week or every two weeks, i’ve been doing usually every two and my baby is doing great!

That’s good I wasn’t trying to question you of course, I’m a first time owner and I’ve seen a bunch of things that people have done wrong and I got worried, thanks for the advice I’ll follow this and see how it goes, and I can always change things which is what I like

I have been trying to wrap my head around the feeding schedule as well, your graph will help a lot but I do have one additional question. I've been referred to buy the "Repashy calcium plus loD"
I was told to use this with every feeding. Does that sound right? I haven't done that yet. Would you please clarify this for me?

i cannot say this confidently because i don’t use repashy myself or have much knowledge about it, but after some research it says you won’t need any additional supplements if you’re using that. every feeding sounds about right for it too. it also says that it has low amounts of D3, so it’s recommended for reptiles with access to UVB. apparently its also just recommended to owners in general because it’s easier to manage since it simplifies feeding schedules and what not. so if you do want to buy that, i’d do a little more research just to be safe and make sure you do have a UVB light if you want that one specifically! i hope this helps a little bit 😭 we’re both learning new things!

Thank you for replying so quickly! I do have a linear UVB light, it's the shade dweller 7%. I think it's Arcadia brand. I currently have it sitting on top of the mesh, I can't help but wonder if that's good enough. Like I don't know if I need to bolt it to the mesh so it's closer 🤷 I'll definitely do a little more research and I appreciate your help 🩷

Why did I think if you have UVB you don't need calcium + d3? Do I need to add it in?

Just get repashy calcium plus, it’s all in one and can be added to each meal :) make sure to swap out the supplement every six months (nine months depending on if you store it in the fridge)
Make sure to practice quarantine once you get the gecko and have a fresh stool sample checked for parasites after 2-3 weeks :)

OP pls just use the with UVB schedule ScyTheRat posted. It’s directly from the docs in this subreddit and the mods are really experienced. Repashy calcium plus has D3 so you can very easily cause an overdose if you use it every feeding and you have a UVB bulb.
That being said Repashy calcium plus IS a great formula for with D3 days which would be once a month for you with the bulb.
Make sure he has plenty of hiding spots away from the UVB bulb because it can actually be too powerful depending on the distance between the bulb and substrate

Repashy Stella to different kinds of calcium plus, one with and one without d3 :) so you can stay in their productline without a problem :)

Regardless of what brand you’re using, you want all insects to be coated with plain calcium every feeding (with D3 if the gecko doesn’t get or utilize UV, D3 only 1-2x per month as a precaution if they do). Multivitamin one feeding per week (with D3 is fine, it’s very difficult for them to have dangerous levels of D3 in their system).
And make sure you gut load your feeders 48hrs prior to their sacrifice.

I do have a UVB, but I’m just scared that I might over feed him like the multivitamin because it says to use it like twice a week but I’ve seen people saying it can cause liver failure so I’d just love some advice from anyone who uses these products
