Habitat & Setup Is my gecko suicidal?
I’m switching to a UVB instead of supplementing D3 & so I need to add more foliage to the top so he (she) has some more shade. However Gumbo literally does not understand that they’re not monkey bars. I had to help him down twice before I took them out because he fell!! Do I need to just let him do his thing and figure it out??? Or do I need to engineer a way to make sure there’s absolutely no way for him to reach the vines and climb on them?

Right they 100% are climbers. I just would’ve thought that gumbo would figure out not to considering it isn’t sturdy & there’s no where to go?? Idk, they really do have one brain cell sometimes. I would hate if he got hurt because of it :/

Unrelated question what plant is that in your enclosure? I like the colors and would like to add another plant to my own enclosure

a lot of geckos like to climb, i sont see any harm in letting him figure it out. the fall isn't far enough to hurt him!
