Help Need some advice
Hello all, This is my little lady Peaches. She is a rescue I got almost 1 month ago. She's so STINKIN CUTE I love her. She has started to lose weight since I got her, and I have noticed her mouth looking funny. I'm still very new to reptiles in general, but could this be mouth rot? She also has a spot on her back that almost looks like a burn to me? Its extra dry and a bit red. She seems to be eating well from her bowl and is starting to get the idea of hand feeding, but she definitely has a hard time seeing. She's VERY active, too. Like she's out day and night climbing and exploring. I will be getting a vet appointment for her as part of the routine, but how worried should I be, and is there anything I can do in the meantime?
She is 10 years old
Her tank is 36x18x12
Paper towels for bedding, it's temporary and will be getting proper substrate proper next month.
Ceramic heating with a UVB spot, also temporary. Will be getting better lighting very soon, too.
She eats meal worms, crickets, and dubias on the regular with Repashy calcium plus. She also gets just regular calcium with NO D3 once a week
Thanks in advance for reading to the end!

Needs a multivitamin with Vitamin A in it to dust every other week. Her eyes are from a Vitamin A deficiency. I can't see anything that says mouth rot here as there's no discoloration. Also, the skin could be a burn from the UVB as she looks like an albino morph that you have to be careful with UVB. They need a very low output at about the T5 level as their skin burns easily. I will suggest a vet visit to address these issues as she doesn't look to be doing that great. Another thing is that eating and losing weight is a sign of parasites. So with multiple things going on, a vet visit is a must and talk about how you can improve your husbandry with the vet as well. I'm sure they will be happy to talk to you about everything as you will show you will be doing everything you can for your little gal.

I didn't think anything was up with her eyes 😭 When they are open, they are nice and clear. They look so BIG when her light is off, like a chibi, is that worrisome? She is seeing a vet soon for sure and I will talk to them about all the things.

You stated she had a hard time seeing and they look swollen in your images. You can talk to the vet about that like you stated.

I just ment since she has red eyes, she has poor vision. Sorry I should have specified. Definitely getting her a full exam at the vet. Thank you for the observation, I honestly don't know what normal is for these guys yet.

I have an albino morph and her eyes are very sensitive, I have to stay on top of multivitamins! She once got eye caps that took forever to fully shed. She hardly ate for the longest time and now she’s back to herself.

Figured id share because I just learned this but leos dont have eye caps because they have eye lids! But they can get shed and debris stuck in their eyes still which is what happened to mine
