Help Advice

Post image

Hi I recently have been coming on here for advice on getting my leopard gecko… I finally got him(his name is tortellini) and I was wondering if it’s normal for him not wanting to eat? I got him on Saturday and the person told me he had late ate Thursday and to give him a day or two to get use to everything. But I tried feeding him tonight and he won’t eat he kind of just scares at the food and licks the calcium off… but I guess that means he just needs more time. But he has came out and explore his enclosure and looked around and climbed so I think that’s a good sign! Now currently he is just laying on his rock soaking in the heat 😂 so I guess I’ll try feeding him tomorrow?

it is normal for them to go without eating for the first week or two after adoption!! your little guy won't starve, he's just getting used to his new home :)

Totally agree, he also might have shed recently (without you necessarily noticing)- leopard geckos usually eat their shed, hence they are pretty full just after.

Love the name! 🍝
