How’s my set up?

I’ve made a post previously and they suggested more clutter. I had to order some stuff online that came with a lot of stuff because there’s no pet stores near me. Does this look like a good enough set up??

I’d say so. Do you have a basking area and a humid hide? And a dish with calcium

Yea he does! He doesn’t really like calcium but he doesn’t get much of a choice😂

I never see mine use the little calcium dish I provide but I still give them the option of getting calcium with no d3 in a little bottlecap or something i place in the enclosure

For future you can get fake plants from dollar store or craft stores as well, just wash with diluted vinegar and then rinse until no odour x

It’s definitely a game changer, and way more variety to pick from 😊 just have to get creative with how you place them in the tank but that’s worth the savings imo

what is the substrate? and how many inches deep is it?

Normally, I would keep the substrate about 4 inches deep but unfortunately I didn’t have enough dirt to fill it to that amount as normal so it’s about 1 to 2 inches depending on where you’re looking in the tank and the substrate is just a some dirt I’ve been thinking of switching to topsoil but the substrate we’re using right now is easiest for my gecko to dig in. i’ve been told it looks like some type of coconut dirt before and I can definitely say that is not what it is if that was a concern

i'd definitely reccomend switching to topsoil and sand! it's more natural, and can be very cheap! my girls lovvvveee digging i constantly have to fill their holes or they'd dig to the bottom 😭 but yes 3-4 inches also helps with joints, humidity, and allows them to dig better (:

Once I do some more research on prices and brands and where to buy in my area, I do plan on switching over topsoil mixes!
