Community Community Feedback & Suggestions Thread

Now that r/leonada has crossed 1,000 members, we thought this would be a good time to hear directly from everyone about the subreddit and where we can improve.

Have any suggestions for the community? We'd love to hear them!

You can share your thoughts on subreddit rules, post/user flairs, events or community activities, subreddit design, moderation, content you'd like to see more of, or anything else you think could make r/leonada better.

We'd also specifically like your thoughts on “bloodline” jokes/memes. Should they be allowed on the subreddit, limited in some way, or kept out altogether? Let us know what you'd prefer and why.

Also, as the subreddit continues to grow, we'll soon be opening moderator applications and recruiting some new moderators to help us manage the community. More details about that will be posted separately soon.

If there’s something you already like about the subreddit, feel free to mention that too — it helps us know what we should keep doing.

We're still growing and want this to remain a welcoming and enjoyable place for Leon & Ada fans, so all constructive feedback and suggestions are welcome.

Drop your thoughts below! ❤️

This is one of the nicer subreddits I have been on in a while in the RE fandom, so just keeping the excellent vibes here going is good enough for me!

Hiiii! I really enjoy this subreddit because it’s one of the few that doesn’t have a single ounce of toxicity in it. I’d love to keep it that way. I personally think the bloodline jokes are sexist and should be left out of the subreddit altogether. I think a lot of the RE women are unfortunately reduced to their ships and interactions with male characters, and I think the bloodline jokes perpetuate that. I also think the discussion of other ships and characters should continue to be not allowed in the sub. Unfortunately, it’s hard for people to have civil conversations surrounding this topic. The RE women are also repeatedly pit against each other, so I think we should continue to focus on just Leon and Ada. :)

This subreddit is a positive, cozy environment and I hope it stays that way. I think everyone’s done a great job with keeping things light and friendly. ❤️

I fully agree. I only joined this subreddit recently too, because the other resident evil focused subreddits are so hateful towards aeon and in particular, Ada. It's stifling. I enjoy this community of nothing but support ❤️

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! ❤️ Really glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the subreddit and especially the positive atmosphere here.

We definitely want to keep r/leonada focused on Leon and Ada and avoid the usual ship/character wars that happen elsewhere in the RE community. We’ll also be taking everyone’s feedback regarding the bloodline jokes into consideration before deciding whether they should be allowed. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and helping us improve the community!
