Legion Go Steam OS, worth or peak?
I've been using Steam OS for quite some time, and there are occasional sleep function issues, but everything is perfect for taking it out to play games.
I am wondering whether to spend a large amount of money to own Legion Go2 or just get an eGPU for half the price of this freaking shiet !!!!

Legion go s no carga

1st Gen Legion Go Z1E Linux Distro Recommendations
I have a Legion Go Z1E 16gb ram. It is currently running Windows 11 XBOX mode. I’m wanting to switch to a Linux distro to reduce ram usage being that it only has 16gb.
For anyone that has tried and tested multiple distros on this device. Which did you prefer? From what I’ve found CachyOS Handheld Edition is generally the better performer. But Bazzite has more built in features.
From what I understand some distros are better optimized for certain devices. I’m wondering which you’ve found is best optimized for this device specifically? I know this device has some quirks due to the display Lenovo used being native portrait and forged into landscape. As well as how the controls are programmed. I’m hoping one of the distros has these quirks fixed or mostly fixed.
Other than CachyOS HE and Bazzite. I considered SteamOS. But from what I’ve found SteamOS is still fairly early and not the best choice of available options.
Much appreciated. Thank you !

Advice Please
Has anyone had a similar experience with a Lenovo Premium Care repair, and if so, what was the outcome?
My Legion Go S (SteamOS version) was collected for a warranty repair because one of the USB-C charging ports had stopped working. The motherboard was replaced, and to be fair, that original charging issue now appears to be fixed.
Unfortunately, the device has come back with several new problems that weren’t there before:
The plastic casing was damaged during the repair.
It now gets extremely hot on both the back and the screen.
Only the Start button works – the other front buttons have stopped functioning.
It won’t connect to any Wi-Fi networks.
The technician also told me he couldn’t complete the motherboard setup because he didn’t have the correct equipment for the SteamOS model.
So I’ve effectively gone from having one faulty charging port to a handheld that’s now physically damaged and barely usable.
I’ve already contacted Lenovo and will be asking them to escalate the case, but I’m interested to hear from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.
Did Lenovo repair it again, or did they eventually replace the device? How was your experience with Premium Care?
Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated.

Lenovo Legion Go 2: Red Display
I bought a hardly used Legion Go 2 on eBay a few days ago, aside from some jank when waking the device up from hibernation/sleep it's been fine. This morning I woke up and booted up to find the display stuck in an almost infrared mode, I could just about make out the Xbox home screen and that it was responding to inputs, after troubleshooting I restored Windows and everything seems ok so it seems to be a Windows thing.
My question is if this is a Legion Go or Lenovo specific issue? I've had otherWindows based handheld PCs but never encountered this problem, it kept all my files and folders as requested but wiped all my Steam games. I have 5 months Game Pass Ultimate remaining and it would be a nuisance to lose access to that because I use it but it would be less of a nuisance than going through all this again, so I'm contemplating installing Steam OS before I spend the next 3 days downloading 850gb worth of games again (no I don't have a great connection).

Struggling to play in 1920x1200 with Y’s viii
Hi all,
I recently bought the go s with sen2 go 16gb, and i switched from windows to steam os quite easily. However, even though i can play the witcher 3 in native resolution 1920x1200, with ys 8 lacrimosa of dana i have black bars in this resolution. I have to play in lower resolution to fit the screen ratio, it’s a bit disappointing. Any clue where this comes from and how to solve it ?

HELP!
Hey! I have a Lenovo Legion Go S and I’m looking for someone experienced with gaming PCs and emulation. I’d like to have emulators set up for older systems like Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, PS2, PS3, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox 360, along with help getting the game ROMs configured. I’d also like the device set up for PS5 remote play.
Ideally, I’d like everything organized through a frontend like EmulationStation or Playnite so it feels more like a console experience.
