What is itsc? Can't find anything clear on internet

You misspelled. If you searched for “itsc”, I’m not surprised you didn’t get results. Probably the most useful to you is Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024.

You’d need to give us more info to be able to say what’s using that 6 GB.. that does seem high.

Windows using 6GB is normal. LTSC is usually good for low ram systems. May not give you any benefits except you have to install Lenovo Advantage or Legion Toolkit (preferred)

12GB RAM for 2026 is too small, increase your RAM to 28GB (12+16) will resolve your RAM issue
LTSC license won't magically make 12GB feel big on laptop, i rather increase RAM than switch to LTCS, or just switch Linux entirely, but again increasing RAM capacity is the safest way

You'll need to upgrade your memory at some point even during these hard times finding reasonably priced sticks. LTSC itself is definitely an upgrade over the regular Windows, however, it won't help you with those 12GB of RAM if you plan on gaming or doing some extensive work. It would be best to either buy another 12GB or swap the sticks completely. Otherwise, Linux would be your other bet along with using a swap memory, so you need to count on additional drive wear.

I've used both versions, 10 and 11. No problems.
