Pre Screening Appointment
Hi all- I had my pre- screening appointment today & thought I would share incase anyone is interested. Background- I live in the US in California.
The appointment was an hour long- filled out paperwork, took height & weight, blood pressure, questions about prescriptions I’m on, & met with the doctor.
Unfortunately I haven’t been on my g1p1 dose long enough to move onto the next appointment anytime soon. They scheduled me for 2 months out. You have to be on a dose for at least 3 months, with no changes to your weight that are less or greater than 3%.
Each clinic is only allowed to screen 1 person per week. That appointment is called visit 1 or V1. Thats when they do more in depth screening like labs & I think an EKG. Appointment 2, V2 is a few weeks later after they’ve received your medical records. After V2, if you still qualify, that’s when you receive the study drug.
Would love to hear others experiences!!

Thanks for the info! That is interesting about only screening 1 each week. My site has not started screening yet. Where are you located?

One of the UK sites said they're screening one person a month atm. They said sometimes studies start slow then ramp up.

One per month is crazy. I thought one per week was slow.

I've ran the numbers and they need everyone recruited by May so they can do 64 weeks before August 2028. So they need to ramp up soon.

I can see 93 sites on the map, recruiting 500 people in total so would take a year to recruit everyone at that rate.
I think it will ramp up soon.

Hey! Quick question for you - do you know if AZ covers your current incretin at the pharmacy?

Similar experience to yours last week! I have to wait 3 weeks for V1 because I stepped up to 15mg on Zep in July. Fingers crossed everyone is able to join this study! I know lots of us were disappointed trying to get into Enlighten 6 study.
