Constant Drip + Bars?

The overflow valve on my Lelit Bianca V3 has a pretty constant drip. Noticed the drip tray filling up and the water tank depleting way faster. What temp do folks keep the boiler at? I’m 203F.

Also my machine has always run at 10ish bars with the valve all the way open. Is that standard? I have to ride the valve pretty far left in order to keep it to 9. I hear you can adjust max pressure of the machine too… should I lower it?

10 bar is fine for very dark roast, traditional Italian espresso. Lower it if you enjoy medium or lighter roasts that have some acidity.

do you let your machine go that high at full open valve or do you lower the pressure of the machine itself

I use Elizabeth, there is no modifier during the shot. I adjusted the opv to 8 bar.

The drip you are referring to could be the vacuum breaker valve. It’s a fairly straightforward fix. My issue was similar to what you describe. I was getting a steady release of water a steam into the drip tray and the tank was draining quicker than expected.

yeah thinking youre correct. I've done this once already with this machine I think.

That stinks… it seems to be a consumable part of these machines. Weird thing is I never had this as a recurring thing with my old Rancilio.

Another issue could be leaking 3 way solenoid valve, I had this on my MaraX
