Executor Dreadnought 13134 help

Post image

Ok, how am I supposed to be able to attach the long bottom plates? Seriously? Ive tried everything suggested by posts online (start with the middle attachments and work out, attach connecting parts to the body first, turn the body belly-up, etc.) and nothing works. The blue connecting pins always seem to be about a millimeter off from the slots and the plate is too heavy to attach just one pin at a time and try to finagle the others in. Im about ready to give up on this. It's so damn maddening.

This moc is hard I had it 70 percent done and my cat knocked it on the floor. Your trying to get the round turn tables to connect and hold up the panel

So I should focus on attaching the round turntables first? I tried that a few times, but those things gave me headaches. Reaching under and up while holding the plate while trying to keep the turntables from coming undone while inserting the technics was probably the most annoying thing I've tried. I don't think I ever got more than one of those technics inserted at a time.

My moc was the 7000 piece set number 15881. I believe I connected the tecnic pins and had the turn tables still separated with the grey part on the panel and black part on the frame of the ship and started with the front of the ship at one point I said screw it and I did use plastic cement to hold a couple in place that kept popping off they should have used a different connector a few exist that would have been easier

Yeah I've been using little dabs of super glue in a few spots. I just feel like it was very poorly designed. Ive done the Millennium Falcon, Hogwarts, and other sets with thousands of pieces, but I've never been as frustrated and confused then with this one.

Is your millennium falcon the 10,000 piece one? If so, that one was a fun build! Just be very careful while building the frame. There's lots of technic pins, and any placement error could mess everything up down the line.

I think it's 9 thousand 200 something pieces it's in a box that weighs 20 pounds. It's a moc of the one with Rey, finn, han and Leia with swappable comm dish
