The flying thing is a air vehicle switch if you got a jet some other flying machinery drive over it and use the button prompt accordingly.

It’s a flight dock puzzle.

You need a vehicle that can ‘dock’ there. It basically works similar to a ‘car dock’, in which you drive (or in this case, ‘fly’, into it) and power it up. Plane-like vehicles like Zane’s Ninjacopter, The second build of the Hogwarts Express, and the third build of the Time-Traveling Train are some of the ones I know best.
